Fall Shelter Events for 2022 – Part 1

Summer is going fast, but things are still very busy at the Shelter.  We currently have a large number of dogs and cats in our care who need homes, such as Remy pictured here.  If you are interested in adopting, please visit our Adoptable Pets page.  Remember that we only list animals that have seen the veterinarian and are ready for adoption, so we always have more in our care than are listed.

We are getting ready to kick off our Fall Fundraising series, beginning with our next Lucky Paw Raffle.  This is a 50/50 raffle, with a maximum of 200 tickets to be sold and a potential jackpot of up to $5,000!  You can get tickets online here or at the Shelter.  Even more exciting, the winning ticket will be drawn at our first annual Bowl-a-Thon event, to be hosted by our friends at FunSpot on December 10th.  We are only able to have 20 teams participate at the event this year, so sign up soon!  We are also looking for lane sponsors.

In September, we will be out in the community at a few fun events.  On September 10 and 11, we will be at the Renaissance & Fantasy Faire, hosted by the Franklin Lions Club and held at Odell Park in Franklin.  The following weekend September 16 through 18, we will be at table C14 at Granite State Comic Con in Manchester.  We will be accepting donations, so its a great time to bring us any linens or pet food.  Finally, we will be participating in the summer Chili Cook Off, hosted by the Franklin Masons.  If you are at any of these events, feel free to stop by and say hello!

Some of you may have noticed a news piece on WMUR a few weeks ago about the Shelter closing, but we are here and working hard to provide for the dogs and cats in our care.  We did have a staffing hiccup (who doesn’t, these days) that caused us to not be open to the public for a few days, but at no time were the animals uncared for.  We remain strong in our mission to help the dogs and cats of the greater Franklin area.
