Considering Surrendering Your Dog or Cat?
We all struggle at times, and making the decision that you can no longer care for your companion animal is a difficult one. Our experienced staff will try to offer suggestions to help you keep your pet at home. If you do need to surrender your pet, our staff will discuss the surrendering procedure with you, quote you the release fee, and schedule an appointment for you to release your pet to us.
You can contact us at (603) 934-4132 for further information. We do require you to make an appointment before surrendering your animal so we can make sure we understand his or her needs. Please be aware that we are unable to take in any feral or undersocialized cats.
We accept cats and dogs only from the following towns:
- Andover
- Boscawen
- Franklin
- Hill
- Northfield
- Salisbury
- Sanbornton
- Tilton
Do you reside outside the towns above? If you are from a different town, you are welcome to contact us and we will try to direct you to the shelter in your local area.
If you find yourself still in the position where you need to surrender your animal(s), it is critical that you view the information below.
